I'm no longer teaching the group classes I taught for 13 years, but occasionally I have requests for private classes from new or past customers, either a single class or a short series.
Sometimes friends request to take a class together, easily accommodated. Because the class can be tailored to your particular wants and needs, it can be especially meaningful.
Hands-on experience is invaluable during the learning process, and working with new recipes in your own kitchen can be more relaxed and fun. While my kitchen is also available, you may prefer to cook in more familiar surroundings.
The cost varies according to the subject matter and number of dishes/recipes prepared.
"Rebuild Your Gut" Classes
The Rebuild Your Gut classes are more about eating than cooking, the idea being to convert your diet to one that relieves inflammation in your system. We learn to eliminate processed foods and inflammatory ingredients, substituting cleaner ingredients and flavorful foods that leave us satisfied.
This class is NOT about deprivation! Rather, we are careful to include all the flavors: bitter, sour, salty, sweet, and spicy.
The foods we share are very flavorful and delicious, simple recipes that anyone can make at home.
But because when it comes to food, learning is doing, the class is structured as a potluck, with participants bringing a dish chosen from the extensive recipe book you'll receive at the first class.
The first dinner is on me, so I recommend you arrive on time while the dinner is hot!
Subsequent classes are scheduled as potluck, but anyone who wants to learn a skill, such as searing tuna, is welcome to bring ingredients and arrive early to cook before class starts so I can teach you the techniques.
Class size is limited
Th e Rebuild Your Gut classes are limited to 6 or 8, creating a more intimate environment that encourages participation and sharing of experience. My intention is for you to learn to prepare delicious and beautiful meals that will nourish you on all levels of your Being.
Come join the laughter and learn how to make meal-time less stressful and more nourishing to your body, mind, and spirit.
